Garbage Collection

SERVICE

• Garbage pickup occurs on Wednesday's and Thursday's of each week. Holidays and other events can change the pick-up schedule.
  

- Wednesday: Residents that live ON or South of Main Street.

- Thursday: Residents living North of Main Street.

COLLECTION FEES AND STICKERS

• The City of Osage furnishes garbage and recycling pickup through REDCAN Sanitation. Garbage service charge is included on your OMU utility statement and is $9.50 per month.
• Each garbage bag picked up must have a garbage sticker attached. OMU sells these stickers, as well as Casey’s East and Casey’s West, Randy's Neighborhood Market, and Kwik Trip. Sticker prices are $1.45 for bags in excess of 15 gallons; $1.20 for bags of 15 gallons or less, and yard waste stickers are $1.20 each.

TIME & PLACEMENT OF SOLID WASTE (City Code Ch. 106.14)

• Placement of solid waste, containers, recyclable materials, and bundles, at the curb for collection shall occur prior to 6:00 AM, on the regularly scheduled collection day, but shall not occur before 2:00 PM on the day before the regularly scheduled collection day.
