Library Board of Trustees
The Library Board, established in Chapter 23 of the Osage City Code of Ordinances, is an appointed board that consists of seven (7) members. There is to be a maximum of six (6) resident members, and at least one (1) nonresident member. The Mayor appoints members, and City Council gives final approval for resident members, and the Mitchell County Board of Supervisors confirm the appointment of the non-resident member(s).
- Members serve six (6) year terms, except to fill vacancies. Each term commences on July 1st
- The Board appoints a President, Secretary, and other officers as necessary, and directs and controls the affairs of the Library
