Utility Board of Trustees
As established in Chapter 26 of the Osage Code of Ordinances, the purpose of the Utility Board is to provide for the operation of the municipally owned electric and gas utilities by a board of trustees.
- Pursuant to an elction held September 27, 1940, the management and control of the municpally owned electric utility were placed in the hands of a Board of Trustees, puruant to an election held December 11, 1961, the management of the municipally owned gas utility was placed in the hands of the Board of Trustees, and pursuant to an election held November 2, 1999, the management and control of the municipally owned communications utility was placed in the hands of the Board of Trustees.
The Mayor appoints, subject to the approval of the Council, five (5) members, who shall be citizens of the City to serve as trustees for staggered six (6) year terms.
